Niacin, a component of Vitamin B, is also known as Vitamin B3. Instantly soluble in water, niacin is odorless and white crystalline in appearance. This vitamin is absorbed by the intestines as soon as it is consumed. Though the deficiency of niacin causes various health problems, an overdose of this vitamin leads to serious health hazards which require immediate medical help.
